McSame vs Computers
While I know many people who are not computer literate for various reasons, this I find very disturbing.
Found via Mother Jones then used the YouTube version because it was shorter and Yahoo Video took forever to download.
For most people their computer skills/interest are irrelevant or largely so to the rest of the world. They’ll just miss out on katlols, Nigerian investment opportunities, blog rants, and the many other time wasting advantages of the Iway. Many of the people I put on an e-list are borderline Luddites which can be annoying when they are required to take some action on the internet for some reason; this is excusable in most cases, especially if they are really trying to get it right. But for someone running for President of the United States who will be charged with formulating and enforcing public policies regarding the internet and electronic security, this is appalling.
I compare it to someone in charge of highways who never drove a car. Or of TSA who never flies. Or of NASA who hates math and science. How can he discern if what he is being told is factual, good public policy, or a windfall for a corporation?
This is the 21st Century, from cryin’ out loud! The Singularity is coming and this guy doesn’t seem to care about technology. (Some estimates put The Singularity threshold as being in 2012, during this Presidential term; more information on my Singularity page.) To me, this one fact places him as the worst choice for President. And unqualified for the office he now holds.
